If someone, especially kids, is willing to write about the experiences of last night, it would be very homeschooly and fun. If kids want to be writers on the blog, just send me their emails and I will invite them too (or Treva)

Zen's participation

Hi everybody,

Zen had a head injury on long weekend. He's recovering well and I was thinking to come on September 9 and maybe participate in the survival camp at least partly if that's possible. But he still has headaches so we are not sure how fast would that recedes. Maybe we can just come and be observers or coach helpers.

Hiya gang,

Rigel will be available on the 17th but not that evening or overnight (we will be grape stomping... an annual thing!). If he is still needed wanted on his survival team even though he won't be overnighting, he will come with one of us. What time does it all start?

Let me know who I  forgot - I am sure I did forgot few people. At this time the blog is open to anyone on the web to find and read it. If we want to change it , let me know. I am going to set up a calendar. If you use Google calendar, you should be able to synchronize it with yours.

Schedule of known and tentative dates:

Sept. 9  - First meeting for survival camp prep.

Sept. 11  - YAC meeting - Wabamun Lake canoeing

Sept. 15 – 17 Local survival weekend (at least one overnight) details at bottom of page.

Sept. 23 – 25 - Stettler Swift Fox ‘Boulder’ Fall Camp - please confirm if you are able to attend and state what you will be camping in.  There is limited space, so tenting is best. E-mail of details coming.

Oct. 7 & 8 tenative song bird and owl banding at BBO. (to be confirmed)

Oct. 14 – 16 Fall Leadership Workshop at Long Lake.  Watch for registration as it fills fast.

Nov. 27 YAC meeting - knots and navigation

Jan. 15 - First Aid and boat safety

Feb. 24 – 26 PT Camp

Mar 18 or 25 (not spring break) – Planning; packing, camping and food

April 13 – 15 - AC winter camp (date to be confirmed)
